About Solid Foundation

Solid Foundation Evangelical Church is a gospel-centered, Bible-believing, Spirit-filled church in New Braunfels, Texas. We exist to uphold unchanging biblical truth, proclaim Jesus Christ faithfully, and help people grow in worship, discipleship, community, and ministry.

We are a community of born-again followers of Jesus who love God’s Word, depend on the power of the Holy Spirit, and seek to serve our city and the world with the hope of the gospel. At Solid Foundation, we believe the church should be both doctrinally grounded and spiritually alive — faithful in teaching, sincere in worship, and active in mission.

Our Story

Solid Foundation was born out of faith, sacrifice, and a shared calling to plant a church in Texas that would stand on the unchanging truth of God’s Word. In September 2020, five families relocated to New Braunfels from Washington State and Oregon to begin this work, and the church held its first Sunday service on December 6, 2020.

What began with a small group of families has grown into a vibrant, multi-generational church family. Over the years, God has continued to bring growth, establish leadership, expand ministry, and deepen the church’s impact in New Braunfels and beyond.

Solid Foundation exists to uphold unchanging biblical truth that breaks the power of darkness, transforms lives, and equips the church for ministry.

Our Vision

Our vision is to passionately proclaim uncompromising truth through faithful teaching, discipleship, and service to our local community and the world. As a missionary-oriented church, we are committed not only to caring for our congregation, but also to making disciples and advancing the gospel wherever God sends us.

What We Value

Everything we do is shaped by four foundational commitments

Trusting Jesus as Savior and Lord

If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9

Living in committed Christian community

For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. Romans 12:4–5

Growing in knowledge and application of God’s Word

Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15

Serving faithfully with the gifts God has given

As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace. 1 Peter 4:10

Our Spiritual Identity

Solid Foundation is biblically grounded and Spirit empowered. We believe God’s Word and God’s Spirit belong together, so we are committed to faithful biblical preaching while also welcoming the present-day work of the Holy Spirit in the life of the church.

We pursue worship, discipleship, and ministry that are centered on Christ, shaped by Scripture, and empowered by the Spirit. We desire spiritual maturity that is both theologically serious and spiritually alive.

Church Life

Solid Foundation is a multi-generational church family with ministries for children, teens, youth, adults, worship, prayer, education, hospitality, and outreach. Our services include both Russian and English, with simultaneous translation available, helping us serve a diverse church family with clarity and unity.

Under the leadership of Bishop Eduard Natekin, Pastor Sergey Natekin, and a team of deacons and ministry leaders, we seek to shepherd people faithfully, build strong families, and equip believers to live for Christ in everyday life.
