Delete your account
Last updated: 2026-09-24
You can delete your TimelyChurch account yourself, from the website or from inside the TimelyChurch app. This page explains how, and what happens to your data.
If you are a church member
- Sign in to your church's member portal (on the web or in the app).
- Open your profile menu and choose "Privacy & Data".
- Tap "Request account deletion" and confirm with the link we email you.
- Your church reviews the request. Your personal data is then anonymized after a 30-day grace period. Contact your church administrator during that time if you change your mind.
If you are church staff or an administrator
- Sign in and open "My Profile".
- In the "Delete my account" section, confirm with your password and tap "Delete my account".
- Open the confirmation link we email you within 24 hours.
- Your account is deleted after a 30-day grace period. Until then you can still sign in and cancel the deletion from your profile.
If you are the only administrator of a church, first make another team member an administrator (or close the church) so the church is not left without anyone who can manage it.
What is deleted and what is kept
- Deleted: your name, email address, phone numbers, address, photo, notes, group memberships and sign-in credentials.
- Kept in anonymized form: donation totals and attendance counts, which your church may be legally required to keep for tax and accounting purposes. They are no longer linked to your name.
- Backups: deleted data is removed from our rolling backups within 35 days.
